Kindness......Step #1





Kindness is the quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate. Kindness is something that develops over time, not over night.  Are children around you witnessing kindness? A child's brain is like a sponge, they take in a lot of "information" good and bad.   Modeling kind behavior is not something that is taught or shown everyday. We want our children to reciprocate kindness, but are we showing it in our daily lives.  


In some schools across the country, a Kindness Curriculum is being put to the test.  The Kindness Curriculum helps establish character and instill values. This curriculum builds children into effective and warmhearted people. We cannot save the world, but we can start somewhere.  The curriculum is a good asset to Early Childhood Social-Emotional Learning.  


We help children to strive high in academics , but what about a kind heart?  We want children to be smart, but what happen to morals?   We want them to have on designer clothes, but how can they show their kindness.  While spending quality time with your children, teach them that their kindness does not go unnoticed.  Teach them that kindness should go beyond their family and close friends.  If we are kind, we will attract other people who are kind.
